Ministries that help accomplish our Vision

The ministries at Rocky are not designed to just fill up already busy calendars. We hope to provide compelling and applicable ministry settings to help “Strengthen the Core” of each individual in our church. From Rocky Kids to our Rocky “U” training programs, we hope to make an impact in real ways.

Children

At Rocky Mountain Church our goal is to “build strong, godly families for the glory of God,” and we believe that God has assigned parents, foremost, with the responsibility to train their children spiritually. The purpose of Children’s Ministry at Rocky is to assist parents by providing resources and teaching Biblical truth that is applied throughout the week. We create an environment for children to be discipled as they actively engage in worship, Gospel centered lessons and hands-on activities. We seek to inspire families and their kids to follow Jesus and know the transforming power of the Holy Spirit for a lifetime faith.

Life Groups

Our Life Groups are designed to align with our discipleship philosophy of Knowing, Growing, and Going. We desire to create environments for our church-wide vision/values to be experienced.

Missions

We believe Jesus and the Apostle Paul were serious when they urged us to look beyond our immediate communities and follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance toward involvement in Kingdom work around the globe. Rocky Mountain Church’s Global Missions Team (GMT) focuses on reaching the Muslim, Hindu, and Buddhist worlds. We support outreach in Asia, Europe, Africa, Israel, as well as missionaries in the United States.

Learning

We have a passion for ‘in-house’ discipleship and doctrine training. The local church should be on the front lines of teaching the Bible so that all areas of life are impacted. Our classes are taught by our Pastors and gifted lay leaders. From our Doctrine 101 class to varied classes on Christian Living, it is our desire to ‘equip the saints for service.’  We take off during the months of April and May to invest and train our people.

Legacy

Rocky’s Legacy group is a gathering of 50+ year old adults where fellowship, food, fun and the sharing of God’s word all come together in events that uplift existing friendships and create the opportunity to form new and lasting relationships.  A Legacy event is a time of casual interaction with others over dinner with a touch of fun and  a short devotional.  Friends and neighbors from our community are invited to experience the welcoming warmth and fun of Christian fellowship and establish new and meaningful friendships.
